"People always say, “Be humble, be humble, be humble.” When’s the last time somebody told you, “Be great, be amazing, be awesome?” Be awesome. BE AWESOME."
You shouldn’t ever need someone to complete you.
You should need someone to accept you for who you are, completely.
But honestly, the smartest thing is to never need someone.
No wonder why there’s no mirrors on these walls no more
You can’t tell me why you’re so terrified of beautiful
Scared of the good more than the evil
Scared of the light more than the dark
Scared of the truth so much more than the lie
I’m scared for you
I’m scared of you
Scared of beautiful

UGH fuck seaworld and ‘swim with dolphin’ places!!
“You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson
I’ve seen these before, but now that it’s ~valentines season~, it’s time to post it!
This is a really thoughtful and personal gift. I love it :)
You could re-work it for a friend, too!

Why can’t I feel anything anymore? I think the numbness finally hit me, or actually it crept upon me slowly, and then one day it fully consumed my so called heart.
Some people wouldn’t mind this numbness because at least then they won’t feel hurt, or whatever. But this numbness sorta makes me feel inhuman; not in the good invincible superhuman way, but in the bad soulless void kind of way.
-Sigh-
I just find it scary that no matter who you find, who you meet, or who you love, you’ll just never know what’s truly lurking in their mind. I mean, it’s impossible to know completely everything about a person. Some of us barely even know ourselves that well. And even when it comes to truths and lies. Anyone can be sincere as ever, yet hold the darkest lies. So you have to take that risk and believe what you are told. That’s all you can do, really. Believe. It’s not like you can peer into someone’s mind and take a look at everything, see if it’s true or not. Or take a look at things that are hidden. That’s just absurd. And yeah, actions do speak louder than words.. always. However, how many of us go on about our days acting in front of people and for people? Putting on a facade or a smile so no one asks “What’s wrong?” Or simply doing something because you fear the consequences? Anyone can act. And everyone has at some point. Some people do it for the rest of their lives.
